The Elizabethan Gardens is a living memorial to America’s original English colonists.  It is located adjacent to The Lost Colony’s Waterside Theatre and Fort Raleigh National Historic Park on Roanoke Island on North Carolina’s Outer Banks.  The garden’s design represents the transitional style of English estate gardens of the late 16th and early 17th centuries. It features formal and informal settings, plus a large collection of Italian statuary.   The Gardens is open year-round seven days a week.  You can visit the official website here.
