Engagement Calendar

Why buy an engagement calendar?
We all love plants and flowers – that is the passion that draws us to be a member of a garden club.  In our calendar you will find lovely photos of floral designs, gardens, and plants. The goals of the Garden Club of North Carolina include study of the art of gardening, horticulture, and floral design, as well as providing education, both for our members and for the general public.  All profits from the sale of our calendars goes to fund scholarships for NC students who are studying horticulture or related fields at NC schools.  In this way we support the next generation in conserving our natural environment.  The calendars make nice gifts, too!

CALENDARS ARE AVAILABLE AT YOUR DISTRICT MEETING WITHOUT SHIPPING CHARGES

As of now, the calendars will not be on sale at the meeting in Cary, but there are some boxes available for you to take to your district.  Many of you picked up calendars in April, but not all.

We produced 500 fewer copies this year, and do not anticipate having many, if any, left over at the end of 2017.

Therefore, if you want calendars for your district, please email me this week, before Sept. 3, so that I can reserve some for you, and let you know how to pick them up at the meeting.

There is more space for notes in the 2018 edition, so it can serve as a garden journal, if desired. There are also tips on gardening and floral design, as well as recognition of native plants.

Do encourage your member to enter photos for the 2019 edition!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,  Joan Eccard, Calendar chair
